Spring Severe Weather Awareness

A message from Orange Village and Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM):

Please be aware that Spring brings the increased possibility of flooding, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and associated hazards such as hail, high winds, and lightning strikes.

ReadyNotify, the Cuyahoga County administered mass-notification system, as well as the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System or IPAWS have the capability of contacting you in case of a tornado. You may sign up for these notifications when you sign up for Orange Village CodeRed (emergency and general) notification. If you have not already done so, please register by clicking here.

Also, please be especially aware that while tornadoes can occur at any time, late spring and summer are the prime seasons for tornado activity within the State of Ohio. The weather in Cuyahoga County has already been tumultuous. Additional safety information can be found on their website, https://ready.cuyahogacounty.us/.
