PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Orange Village Council will be holding a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on September 14, 2022, regarding a requested variance from the Orange Village Zoning Code. Jay F and Kristina L. Capes, are seeking a zoning variance of two feet (2’) from the minimum setback fifteen feet (15’) to install a gas-powered electric generator not nearer than thirteen feet (13’) from the western property line. Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended that the variance be granted.

Orange Village Council will be holding a public hearing beginning at 7:30 p.m. on September 14, 2022, regarding a requested variances from the Orange Village Zoning Code. Moriom Begum on behalf of MA Gas Properties, LLC., 28021 Miles Road, is requesting four variances.

Applicant seeks the following variances for the new convenience store building:

  1. A variance of thirty-five feet (35’) from the rear yard setback from the northern property line (for frontage on Miles Road), and a variance of thirty feet (30’) from the western property line (for frontage on Brainard Road). Section 1154.05(c) of the Codified Ordinances requires a rear yard setback of forty-five feet (45’).
  2. A variance of forty feet (40’) from the required setback of one hundred feet (100’) from the front property line at Brainard Road, which setback is established by Section 1154.05(a) of the Codified Ordinances

Applicant seeks the following variances for the proposed canopy structure:

  1. A variance of eighty-three feet (83’) from the required one hundred foot (100’) front yard setback from the property line at Brainard Road, as required by Section 1154.05(a) of the Codified Ordinances; and
  2. A variance of seventy feet (70’) from the required one hundred foot (100’) front yard setback from the property line at Miles Road, as required by Section 1154.05(a) of the Codified Ordinances.

The public hearing may be accessed via Zoom in the same manner as the regular Council meeting that is scheduled for that evening.
