Orange Village Receives Strong Aa2 Bond Rating

On July 22, 2022, Orange Village received good news in the form of a strong “Aa2” bond rating from Moody’s Investors Service.  There are only two rating categories that exceed Orange Village’s rating. Of the nine current bond ratings for Ohio Villages, Orange Village received the highest rating.

The bond rating was important for the recreation trail $5.5 million bonds that Orange Village marketed and sold in August.

Moody’s Investors Service cited sound fiscal management and a strong financial position with a track record of achieving surplus operations, positive income tax trends, and healthy fund balance reserves combined with an affluent tax base to support the “Aa2” rating.

All of the Village’s debt is payable by property owners through special assessments, as well as supported by the Village’s general obligation full faith and credit pledge.
