NOPEC RATE INFORMATION
Electric Pricing
Continuing their commitment to providing price stability for residents and small businesses, NOPEC will hold their electric Standard Program Price (SPP) steady for another
six-month period from the June through December 2025 meter read dates at 8.929 cents/kWh. That price is expected to be below the utility’s Standard Service Offer (SSO) pricing over that time.
In addition, for those customers that prefer even longer periods of predictable pricing, they recently updated their fixed term product prices.
Electric: Fixed Term Pricing (Starting May 2025)
| Fixed Term Length | Ohio Edison/The Illuminating Company |
| 12-months | 8.500 cents/kWh |
| 24-months | 9.000 cents/kWh |
The increase in prices is primarily driven by a huge spike in capacity prices from the electric grid operator, PJM, and is outside of NOPEC’s control. That pass-through cost applies to all Ohio electric customers.
Natural Gas Pricing
NOPEC will be sending out an enrollment mailing beginning in mid-April, the initial price for their Standard Program product for Enbridge Gas Ohio (formerly Dominion East Ohio) customers will be $4.99 per Mcf for the 3-month period beginning with the June 2025 meter reads through the August 2025 meter reads.

For customers that prefer even longer periods of predictable pricing, they recently updated their fixed term product prices:
Natural Gas: Fixed Term Pricing (Starting May 2025)
| Fixed Term Length | Enbridge Gas Ohio |
| 12-months | $5.50 per Mcf |
| 24-months | $5.75 per Mcf |
