The Orange Village Fire Department is proud to offer CPR classes free to our residents ages 15 and older. Classes will be held on Saturdays at Orange Village Hall, 4600 Lander Road. All sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will last approximately 3 hours. This is a “friends and family” level class with AED education. Remember that you can make a difference but only if you take the time to learn this basic lifesaving skill.

The classes offered are not certified. If you are looking for Health Care level classes, please contact Lieutenant Eric Strauss at 440-287-5074.

If you are already trained in CPR or after you completed our trainings, please “Help Us to Help Others” by installing the free Pulsepoint app on your smartphone. The Orange Village Fire and Police Departments have been using Pulsepoint, a free app, since 2014 and we are always looking for more trained users to assist. The app will inform any CPR-trained user as part of the front-line responders when someone nearby is suffering from a heart attack.

App users within a quarter mile who have indicated they are trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are notified if someone nearby is having a cardiac emergency and may require CPR. In addition, they will be advised where the nearest automated external defibrillator (AED) is located. An AED is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can deliver an electric shock to restore a normal rhythm if necessary.
