Brainard Road Resurfacing:
Miles Road to Emery Road
Resurfacing of Brainard Road from Miles Road to Emery Road has begun. During construction two-way traffic on Brainard Road will be maintained. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane where the contractor is working during construction hours with traffic controlled by flaggers. Each evening both lanes will be open. Please allow extra time during construction hours for travel.
Please use caution when driving or walking in or near the construction zone. Enter and exit driveways slowly. After the milling, driveways will have small ramps placed for transition to the milled surface but there is still a 2.5”+/- grade differential. Please be aware that freshly placed asphalt is extremely hot. Keep children away from any newly placed asphalt and construction equipment.
The project should be completed in approximately three weeks, weather dependent.
