We apologize for the notification that was sent late last night (8/20). This was NOT a scheduled call by Orange Village.
The company that manages CodeRed on our behalf had an issue with their system. They are currently working to resolve it.
Once again we are very sorry for the inconvenience.
Statement from Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management:
ReadyNotify/CodeRed Users,
This morning, our office was made aware by a few of our partners about messages that had been sent earlier this week being sent by the system again shortly after midnight this morning. We had a call with CodeRed leadership this morning and their engineering team is working to identify and fix the issue that caused this to happen. This wasn’t isolated to our implementation as it happened to other CodeRed accounts as well.
We will continue to work with CodeRed to identify the cause and implement a fix so it does not happen again.
Our apologies on behalf of the vendor. This is obviously something that should not occur, and we are holding them accountable to the fullest extent possible.
