Temporary Signs
With the beginning of the political season and the appearance of yard signs, Orange Village Building Department would like to remind everyone of the relevant Orange Village regulations. Orange Village can only restrict the size and location of the signs.
Chapter 1161.11 “Temporary Signs” sections (d)(3) & (5), signs may be placed up to 30 days in advance of the date absentee ballots are available or the day early voting is permitted, whichever comes first. On single residential lots, signs may be no greater than 8 square ft. and must be placed a minimum of ten (10 feet from any property line. The property line along streets is the Right-of-Way which can be estimated as either at the back of a sidewalk or a line defined by the location of power poles. Residents may express their political views. However, they must be incompliance with the code. Please locate your yard signs accordingly.
