NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Council of Orange Village will hold a public meeting on June 7, 2023, at 7:45 p.m. at Village Hall, to consider the proposed legislation listed below:

Orange Village is providing public notice that the Mayor of Orange Village, Kathy U. Mulcahy, has submitted an application to the Orange Village Council to have a 43.50-acre portion of the Village, consisting of land located at Pinecrest, declared a designated outdoor refreshment area.

Specifically, application was made by Rob Clarke, General Manager of Pinecrest on April 28, 2023, to establish the “Pinecrest Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area,” pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §4301.82. This effort will authorize patrons of liquor permitted businesses within the outdoor refreshment area to purchase alcoholic beverages and consume them within the boundaries of the area.

Outdoor refreshment areas provide a narrow and conditional exemption to Ohio’s open container laws. Ohio and Orange Village laws regarding public intoxication and impaired driving will continue to apply within and around the outdoor refreshment area.

The application to establish the outdoor refreshment area is on file in the office of the Clerk of Council and is available for inspection by the public during the regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at Orange Village Hall, located at 4600 Lander Road, Orange Village, Ohio.
