MINUTES Mayor Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:31 pm. Members Present: Carmen Centanni, Jonathan Shanes, Brian Hitt, Scott Lewis, Jud Kline (arrived 7:33 pm), and Mayor Kathy Mulcahy Members Absent: John Terlep Others Present: Stephen Byron, Law Director (arrived 7:35 pm) Lou Hovancsek, Building Commissioner Ron Kluchin, Village Architect Mary Fisco, PZ/ABR Secretary #1 ACCESSORY BUILDING - Ralph Klinger, Owner - 29199 Emery Rd. - Ralph Klinger, Representative Present: Ralph Klinger PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve contingent upon: 1. Adding a window on the man-door, located on the side of the structure 2. The roof shingles match the color of the existing house, and 3. As noted on the plans, the height of the structure will be fifteen (15) feet was made by Hitt; seconded by Lewis. Ayes: Centanni, Shanes, Hitt, Lewis, Kline and Mulcahy No: None #2 ADDITION - Gena & Brian O’Neill, Owner - 4400 So. Hilltop Dr. - Integrity Custom Construction - Alan Bobnar, Representative Present: Alan Bobnar PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve contingent upon the siding and roof to match the existing house was made by Hitt; seconded by Centanni. Ayes: Centanni, Shanes, Hitt, Lewis, Kline and Mulcahy No: None #3 CABINET LANDSCAPING - AT&T Cabinet - 28100 Harvard Rd. - Joe Kilcoyne, AT&T Representative Present: Joe Kilcoyne PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve the installation of the cabinet only. AT&T will need to return to approve the landscaping portion of the project. This motion was made by Hitt; seconded by Lewis. Ayes: Centanni, Shanes, Hitt, Lewis Kline and Mulcahy No: None #4 REPORT & RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL: (ORDINANCE #2007-17) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF ORANGE VILLAGE TO MODIFY HEIGHT REGULATIONS FOR BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES, AND OTHER RELATED REGULATIONS, AND REPEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES. PZ Discussion: Motion to recommend as amended was made by Shanes; seconded by Hitt. Ayes: Centanni, Shanes, Hitt, Lewis, and Mulcahy No: None #5 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT · Red Robin is cleaning the grease spill · Temple Emanu El will start setting the steel the week of July 23rd · The Barkley Pet Hotel’s grass is not growing as they hydro seeded on clay. The Barkley was in violation of the grass ordinance. As a result, the Village was forced to cut their lawn. The Barkley was billed for the service · Mr. Mooney has not taken care of the canopy at the Sunoco Gas Station on Chagrin Blvd. The Building Department has contacted a demolition company to get an estimate for the job #6 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION None Motion to approve the minutes of the June 19, 2007 meeting was made by Centanni; seconded by Hitt.
