MINUTES Mayor Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:31 pm. Members Present: Carmen Centanni, Jonathan Shanes, Brian Hitt, John Terlep (arrived at 7:41 pm), Jud Kline and Mayor Kathy Mulcahy Members Absent: Scott Lewis Others Present: Lou Hovanscek, Building Commissioner Ron Kluchin, Village Architect Adam Rosplock, Acting Law Director Mary Fisco, PZ/ABR Secretary #1 CANOPY - Mr. & Mrs. Greg Robey, Owner - 29550 Pike Dr. - Mr. & Mrs. Greg Robey, Representative Present: Sal Rubino, Contractor PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve was made by Hitt; seconded by Shanes. No Action Taken John Terlep arrived. #3 FENCE - Joe and Nina Lewis, Owner - 165 Jackson Dr. - Joe and Nina Lewis, Representative Present: Joe Lewis PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve subject to the new fence matching the existing fence, was made by Mulcahy; seconded by Shanes. Ayes: Centanni, Shanes, Hitt, Terlep, Kline and Mulcahy No: None #5 LANDSCAPE, POOL LOCATION and SPORT COURT - Ms. Rondee Kamins, Owner - 600 Beacon Hill Dr. - Larry Shane, Decorator, Representative Present: Larry Shane, Rick Tomko PZ/ABR Discussion: Grading corrections are needed before approval is given. No Action Taken. #6 LANDSCAPING - Amy and Mike Southard, Owner - 3910 Waterford Court - Outside Design Ltd. Present: Bob Oster - Bob Oster, Representative PZ/ABR Discussion: The Board Members want approval from the Village Engineer before approving this project. No Action Taken. #7 CABINET SCREENING - AT&T - Rear of 4986 Lander/Miles Present: Gary Saylor - Gary Saylor, Representative PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve was made by Hitt; seconded by Centanni. Ayes: Centanni, Shanes, Hitt, Terlep, Kline and Mulcahy No: None #8 REPORT & RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL: (ORDINANCE #2007-17) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF ORANGE VILLAGE TO MODIFY HEIGHT REGULATIONS FOR BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES, AND OTHER RELATED REGULATIONS, AND REPEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES. Tabled for further amendments. #9 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT · Tom Shields has sent out 20 grass letters this past week. · The house at 4989 Lander has been demolished. The contractor removed too many trees and has been notified of same. · Temple Emanu El will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on June 24th. The contractors have begun to pour footers. · The Barkley Pet Hotel site work progress is still very slow. There is still a lot of earth which needs to be removed from the site. · The prosecutor has been meeting with Mr. Mooney (Sunoco Gas Station, Chagrin Blvd) and little progress has been made. A letter will be mailed in the next few days notifying him to remove the canopy. #10 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION Mayor Mulcahy asked opinions of the Board Members if they liked the idea of a freestanding drugstore at the Shoppes of Solon (Miles/Brainard Rds). Motion to approve the minutes of the May 15, 2007 meeting was made by Centanni; seconded by Hitt.
