AUGUST COUNCIL MEETINGS


ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS

· Resolution No. 2005-7	A resolution memorializing the intention of Council to expend tax dollars for the 
public benefit conferred by the installation of the Emery Road waterline.  Passed 5-1.

· Resolution No. 2005-8	A resolution supporting the proposal by the Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc. 
to develop the Chagrin River Watershed Balanced Growth Plan, in cooperation with the Ohio Lake Erie Commission's 
Balanced Growth Program.  Passed 6-0.

· Ordinance No. 2004-34	An ordinance amending sections of Part Five, General Offense Code, to authorize 
the abatement of nuisance animals from within the village.  Tabled 3-2.

· Ordinance No. 2005-11	An ordinance amending section 521.11 of the Codified Ordinances to enact 
requirements for the trimming of trees, shrubs and weeds, and declaring an emergency.  2nd reading, as amended.

· Ordinance No. 2005-12	An ordinance enacting Chapter 1521 of the Codified Ordinances of Orange Village 
to regulate the drilling of oil and gas wells.  Passed 5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-13	An ordinance amending section 933.01 to revise the fees to be charged to residents 
and non-residents for emergency medical services, and repealing certain ordinances.  Passed 5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-14	An ordinance amending section 147.13 of the Codified Ordinances of the village to 
clarify the earning of vacation time by employees.  Passed 5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-15	An ordinance amending certain sections of the Codified ordinances of the village to 
clarify the earning of overtime by employees.  Passed 5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-16	An ordinance amending Chapter 521 of the Code of Ordinances of Orange Village 
to regulate the placement of tree limbs or branches in a village right of way or in a front yard.  Passed5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-17	An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a lease agreement with 
J&J Energy, LLC, to drill for oil and gas on Orange Village property.  2nd reading.  Referred to Planning & 
Zoning Commission.
· Ordinance No. 2005-18	An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a lease agreement with New Cingular 
Wireless PCS, LLC for certain village owned property for the construction and maintenance of certain telecommunications
 facilities.  Passed 5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-21	An ordinance amending section 1133.07 of the Codified Ordinances to levy a Safety 
Services Impact Fee for U-3A Continuing Care Retirement Community District Developments, eliminate the Recreation 
Impact Fee on such developments and creating a Safety Services Capital Improvement Fund.  Passed 5-0.

· Ordinance No. 2005-23	An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept for Village ownership approximately 
1.056 acres of real property with frontage on Emery Road, and declaring an emergency.  1st reading.

· Ordinance No. 2005-24	An ordinance establishing compensation for Clerk of Council of Orange Village and 
repealing certain ordinances.  1st reading.

· Ordinance No. 2005-25	An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to release a water line easement which is not 
being used for a public purpose, and declaring an emergency.  1st reading.  Referred to Planning & Zoning Commission.
