Reverse 911
In cooperation with the Chagrin Falls Dispatch Center a system, known as Reverse 911, is now available to the residents of Orange Village. This community notification system allows telephone messages to be automatically broadcast to the Village as a whole or, if appropriate, to a specific portion of the Village directly impacted by an emergency.
This state-of-the-art technology, with life saving potential, consists of a database that combines all available numbers in Orange Village with detailed maps of the Village. A police dispatcher identifies the targeted area of an emergency and a recorded message goes out to all matching telephone numbers in that area. This system is compatible with hard wire, cordless and cellular phones. It is advisable, however, to have at least one hard wire phone in your home because if there is a power outage cordless phones will not work.
In order to implement this service, we need to obtain your phone numbers so we may notify you in the event of an emergency.
You may opt out of Reverse 911 if you so choose.

Please fill in all information requested and return it to the Orange Village Police Department by mail, fax or in person. If you choose to opt out of the system, simply put an * in the box that states Please remove me from the list. Residents must notify us of any phone number(s) changes. All information provided for the Reverse 911 database will be kept confidential and secure to the extent permitted by law.
In addition, the Reverse 911 system has other capabilities including a Guardian Calling System which allows Dispatch to contact senior citizens and others with special needs by scheduling automatic "Check-in" calls. If the system does not receive back the proper touch-tone response, it will automatically notify concerned parties or relatives that a personal visit is required. Additional information will be mailed to those residents that are interested in this program as soon as it is available.
If you have any questions please call Orange Village Police Lieutenant Patrick O'Callahan at 440 498-4401, ext 110 .
