MINUTES
Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.
Members Present: Anthony Lazar, Jud Kline, Brian Hitt, Scott Lewis, Mayor Kathy Mulcahy
Members Absent: Herb Braverman

#1 ADDITION - Paul & Gwen Takach, Owner & Representative

PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve subject to the following:
1. The Building Commissioner clarifying the architects and engineers concerns as
as noted in their reviews dated September 1, 2010,
2. White siding to match existing siding,
3. Stone to match existing stone,
4. Shingle to match existing shingle; and
5. Add flashing to roof area (as noted on the plans), and change roof to 3/12 pitch,
was made by Hitt; seconded by Kline.

PZ Discussion: Motion to approve subject to the water source decision was made by Lazar; seconded
by Lewis.

PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve subject to the Police Chief verifying site issues and the
Building Commissioner to check that the sign setback is even with other businesses was made by Lewis;
seconded by Lazar.

#5 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT
· Lou spoke with Joe Kilcoyne with AT&T regarding the landscaping/screening around the cable boxes.
Joe told Lou they are planning to replant and replace the dead shrubbery.
· The house located at 29900 Emery Road has submitted the ‘green checklist’ to obtain a Green Certificate.
#6 JUD KLINE, ORANGE GOES GREEN CERTIFICATION CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
At the September 7th Orange Goes Green Meeting, the following was discussed:
1. The checklist submitted by Premier Builders, 29900 Emery Road,
2. Forms need to be adjusted,
3. Jud will send out a report; and
4. Ask proponent to provide certain documentation of how or why they qualify for certain points.
#7 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION
· Landscape issues and landscape plan submittals.
Motion to approve the Minutes of the August 17, 2010 meeting, with the following addition to #6,
‘Any Other Topic for Discussion’, was made by Kline; seconded by Hitt.
#6 Several members of the Planning & Zoning Commission attended John Terlep’s wake.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:45 pm.
