Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

GEO block turnoff to the satisfaction of the Building Commissioner, Service Director and Engineer
was made by Hitt; seconded by Centanni.

#7 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT
· Mr. Mooney brought more plans into the Building Department for a new canopy.
He proposes to use the existing poles/beams for the canopy, which a structural engineer approved.
· The recent windstorm caused a tree to fall on a house located at 4010 W. Ash Lane.
· The Barkley Pet Hotel attorney’s will be taking Lou’s deposition next week.
Mr. Sonnenstein and The Barkley Pet Hotel are suing each other.
· An ISO representative will be coming in September 25th. Lou and Mary have
been working very hard on the report. Lou asked the members again for any
continuing education hours they may have, as this information is used
for the ISO report.
#8 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION
· Ron Kluchin mentioned that he, Lou and Mary will be working on ‘minimum submittal
requirements’ for projects such as pools, decks, porches, etc. to ensure that plans
are thorough and complete.
· Anthony Lazar mentioned he was concerned and glad to hear that Ron, Mary
and Lou will be going over the submittal guidelines.
· Mayor Mulcahy mentioned there is a Planning & Zoning seminar in October should
anyone be interested in attending.
Motion to approve the minutes of the September 2, 2008 meeting, with the following changes
was made by Centanni; seconded by Lewis.
Add to #3: “A 20 minute presentation was made by Amy Brennan. Topics included
conservation and to develop areas in the Chagrin River Watershed. (PowerPoint presentation attached)”

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:20 pm.
