MINUTES

Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Members Present:  Carmen Centanni, Anthony Lazar, John Terlep, Scott Lewis (also served as acting 
	 PZ/ABR Secretary due to absence of Mary Fisco), Jud Kline, Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

Members Absent:   Brian Hitt

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Village Architect confirmed that proposed deck and patio comply with code requirements.  
At Commission’s request, Owner clarified height and other details concerning the railing, which will surround the 
deck and will continue down staircase to ground level.  These details were furnished to Commission but were 
omitted from larger plan drawing.  In response to question from Mr. Kline, Owner confirmed that finish on deck 
would be natural treated lumber.   Following review of the drawings and discussion, a joint motion to approve deck 
and patio, subject to the use of natural treated lumber on the deck, was made by Centanni and seconded by Lewis.

#2  BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

Mayor, Service Director and Building Commissioner met recently with owner of The Diner (formerly Mom’s Diner) 
to discuss landscaping, fire lane parking, addition of pizza shop (LaRich’s) and temporary signage issues.  
Owner has requested permission for outside dining.   Village representatives will revisit the restaurant in 
approximately one month to monitor progress in addressing the issues.   Owner has informed the Village that 
he is seeking a ballot issue in November for a liquor permit on the premises.

The lot on North Hilltop Drive (in which the house was demolished) has experienced some settling in the 
basement. Mr. Hovancsek reported that some positive drainage is now taking place.

The storm sewer tie-in at the Healey residence on Lander Road is continuing.  The owner is attempting to 
complete the project himself but apparently lacks the equipment to do so.

#3   ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

Mayor Mulcahy commented favorably on the landscaping at Landerwood Glen surrounding the AT&T box on 
Lander Road.

Motion to approve the minutes of the July 7, 2009 meeting was made by Lewis, seconded by Centanni.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
