#4 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT
· The Building Department has issued a Certificate of Temporary Occupancy
to the Temple Emanu El. They would like a Certificate of Permanent Occupancy
on Thursday. The school portion of the Temple would also like to be issued an
occupancy permit. For licensing purposes, school occupancy permits have
different criteria than building occupancy permits.
· Mooney’s Gas Station has asked for a 30 day extension on the replacement of
the canopy. They are currently receiving bids for the new canopy.
· Lou stopped by Mom’s Diner and spoke with Harriett Kusner’s assistant regarding
the signs. They also have outdoor dining (4-6 tables) which is not allowed by the
Village ordinances. The board members also discussed that Mom’s Diner would
need to apply for a variance if they would like to continue to serve outdoors.
· The Klein dwelling (29149 No. Hilltop) has been demolished.
· The mystery of the orange cable going up a pole near the white house at 4590
Brainard Road has been solved. Lou spoke to the cable company and found out
the orange cord was in fact cable cord. The cable installer normally changes wire
(color) when it is visible, but he did not in this instance. There was so much excess
lead he just ran the extra cord up the pole.
#5 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION
· Mayor Mulcahy mentioned that there was no screening around the AT&T
box on Harvard Road.
· Mayor Mulcahy reminded everyone that they are invited to attend the opening
ceremony for the Temple Emanu El on Sunday, July 27th.
Minutes of the July 1, 2008 meeting will be voted on at the next PZ/ABR meeting, August 5th.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:14 pm.
