MINUTES
Brian Hitt called the meeting to order at 7:41 pm.
Members Present: Carmen Centanni, Anthony Lazar, Jud Kline and Brian Hitt
Members Absent: Scott Lewis, John Terlep and Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

#1 ADDITION - Dr. Manjula Gupta, Owner

PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve subject to the following modifications
to the rear addition:
1. Square off the southeast corner of the closet and relocate the door toward the
rear of the lot, adding a stoop and stairs going towards the rear and the
idewalk, along the side of the house,
2. Relocate the ramp to occur off the back deck running along east side of the new
addition and connecting to the new sidewalk,
3. Submission of a new set of drawings (addendum) indicating these same changes,
4. Compliance of the Village Engineer’s letter, dated June 26, 2008,
was made by Kline; seconded by Centanni.

#5 DISCUSSION - New Dwelling - Ron Klein, Owner

Discussion was had regarding the proposed dwelling and whether it conforms to current regulations.
#6 REPORT & RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL (ORDINANCE 2008-17)
An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a non-drilling oil and gas lease
benefit of the Village.
PZ Discussion: Motion to table was made by Centanni; seconded by Lazar.

#7 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT
· The Building Department had a conversation with Mr. Mooney (Mooney’s Gas Station)
regarding a proposed canopy, and extending the 30-day deadline.
· Ron Klein will be demolishing the house at 29149 No. Hilltop Drive soon.
· A permit application has been received for the demolition of the burned house at 29599 Pike Dr.
· Mr. Shaheen, one of the owners of The Barkley Pet Hotel hit the building with his car.
No repairs have been made yet.
· The old CVS site (27500 Chagrin Blvd.) has been sublet to a rug store. Nothing has been
submitted for new signage.
#8 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION
· No one seems to know what the orange extension cord is for, which is going up a pole near the
white house at 4590 Brainard Road.
Motion to approve the minutes of the June 17, 2008 meeting was made by Kline; seconded by Lazar.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:17 pm.
