MINUTES
Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:33 pm.

PZ/ABR Discussion: Lengthy discussion on the color 'red'. Joint motion to approve
was made by Centanni; seconded by Terlep.

#3 REPORT & RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL: (ORDINANCE 2006-29) AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION 1148.02 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF
ORANGE VILLAGE, TO MODIFY REGULATIONS RELATED TO ATTACHED GARAGES AND TO
REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
*No action taken. To be on the June 20, 2006 agenda.
Carl Hagerling (Miles Road resident) had the following comments: Supportive of loosening
up the current regulation, but it does not go 'far enough'.
He finds 2 double garage doors, facing the street offensive.
Justin Berns (Orange Village Builder) would like to see this ordinance passed.
He stated the 'variance process' is unreasonable.
Discussion: Can the number of garage doors be controlled?
Control whether they face the street or not?
Mayor Mulcahy read a statement from Jud Kline (absent).
#4 REPORT & RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL: (ORDINANCE 2006-24) AN ORDINANCE
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ORANGE VILLAGE MASTER PLAN, DATED APRIL 24, 2006.
*No action taken.
#5 BUILDING COMMISSIONER'S REPORT
-John Terlep is the interim architect, in Thor Larsen's absence. The Village is
looking for a permanent replacement.
-The Building Department sent out 12 letters for tall grass.
-Betty and David Anderson (4320 Lander Rd.) are in jail for non-compliance
of grass & house maintenance.
-R. Mooney (Sunoco Gas Station) to go to court regarding 'canopy'.
-J. Montana to be cited regarding grass and barn.
#6 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION
-Phil Soroky questioned 'who checks pictures vs. building plans' and 'who makes sure
the builder actually builds what is on the plans'.
-Temple Emanu El discussion regarding the retention basin.
-Mayor took a 'straw vote' on whether the Temple Emanu El plans would pass and
everyone voted 'no'. Mayor to call
Kerry Klotzman.
-Temple Emanu El to be placed on the June 20, 2006 agenda.
-Stephen Byron talked about adopting the terms of the OH Residential Building Code,
enforcing our own codes.
-Mayor presented pictures of a monument to memorialize former Fire Chief, Fred Fritz.
The OV Fire Association and Fritz family to fund it.
Mayor Mulcahy will not be at the June 20, 2006 P&Z meeting. Council President, Mark Bram to fill in.
Motion to approve the minutes of the May16, 2006 meeting as amended was made by Hitt,
seconded by Centanni.
