MINUTES


Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm.

Members Present:			Carmen Centanni, Anthony Lazar, 
				Brian Hitt, Scott Lewis, John Terlep, Jud Kline
				and Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

Members Absent:	None

Others Present:			Rebecca Schaltenbrand, Asst. Law Director
				Lou Hovancsek, Building Commissioner

#1	DISCUSSION		- Mike Goulder, Owner
            (New Dwelling)		- 4220 Cambridge Court
				- Mark Kearney, Architect, Representative

Architect Mark Kearney presented proposed plans for a new dwelling for 4220 Cambridge Court.

#2	REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL – ORDINANCE 2008-33
	
	An ordinance amending section 1123.02, section 1123.03, and section 1143.03 of the Codified 	
	Ordinances of Orange Village to revise the Village’s preliminary plat and preliminary development 	
	plan review procedures, and repealing certain ordinances.

	Discussion was had on the new procedures.  Tabled for revisions.

#3	BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

·	The house at 29950 Harvard Road which had a fire is in bad condition.  Lou would like to see the 
	dwelling demolished.  The house needs to be “brought up to code”.  The set-back of the house is not 
	currently at 100’.  If the owner rebuilds the dwelling, he would have to build the house at a set-back 
	of at least 100’.  
·	The Diner has not re-submitted plans for the proposed pizza oven.
·	The Building Department received plans for Wasabi House.  The Japanese restaurant will take over the 
	Olive Garden building at 3725 Orange Place.

#4	ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

·	The permit for the University Hospital canopy project is ready to be picked up from the Building Department.
·	At the University Hospital facility, after choosing not to use the elevators, Mayor Mulcahy had difficulty 
	accessing/exiting using the stairwells. The Fire Department will be looking into this, and see if it is 
	a safety issue.

Motion to approve the minutes of the February 3, 2009 meeting was made by Kline; seconded by Lewis.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 pm.
