MINUTES


Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

Members Present:	Anthony Lazar (arrived 7:55 pm), Jud Kline, John Terlep, Herb Braverman,
			Scott Lewis, Brian Hitt, Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Joint motion to approve was made by Hitt; seconded by Terlep.

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Joint motion to approve subject to the following:

1.	Add collar ties (to roof structure).
2.	All windows to be double-hung and match (in style),
3.	Brick sill to be backed up with concrete masonry at least to three courses (in garage),
4.	The beam comply with the requirements of the Orange Village Architect and Building Department, 
	(to use a 10-inch beam instead of an 8-inch beam as shown on plans),
5.	Vinyl siding to be used: is “Wicker, Royal Crest”; and
6.	Roof materials to be:  “IKO, Earthtone, Cedar”.

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Joint motion to approve subject to the following:

1.	Revised right/rear elevation,
2.	The roof over the dormer (bay window) to be made of metal instead of shingle, and
3.	Brick sample to be approved.

was made by Mulcahy; seconded by Hitt.

Note:  Applicant was advised that they need a septic system approval from the Cuyahoga County Board of 
Health prior to the issuance of a permit.  Applicant will also need to resubmit right side elevation showing the
windows.  It is preferable that the Architect (Mark Graham) and/or the owners are also present.

#5	BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

·	Preparing year-end report, as required by the state (Board of Building Standards).
·	Working with the law department with the foreclosed houses. 
·	Wasabi Steakhouse, hood testing.  The restaurant should be opening in 30 +/- days.
·	There have been several meetings with the owner, Mayor, general contractor, architect and building
	commissioner regarding the structural integrity of the house under construction at 4220 Cambridge Court.  
	The architect wrote a letter certifying the structural integrity of the dwelling.

#6	ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

	None

#7	ARCHITECT’S REPORT	

·	There have been more plan submissions recently.
·	The actual submissions have been better quality.

	Motion to approve the Minutes of the January 19, 2010 meeting was made by Braverman; seconded by Kline.
·	Corrections:  #3, Building Commissioner’s Report, Bullet #1, ADD:  “The information Mr. Goldfarb is telling 
	the new owner and contractor is not true”.
