Brian Hitt, Chairperson Pro-Tem called the meeting to order at 7:34 pm.

Members Present:	Carmen Centanni, Brian Hitt, Scott Lewis, John Terlep and Jud Kline

Members Absent:	Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

Others Present:	Stephen Byron, Law Director
			Lou Hovancsek, Building Commissioner
			Ron Kluchin, Village Architect (arrived 7:42 pm)

#1	REPORT & RECOMMENDATION (2008-10)
	AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A REAR YARD VARIANCE TO JAY SIEGEL 
	AND MORNINGSTAR HOMES FOR 290 CAPITOL HILL CIRCLE.

Present:  Seth Young, Morningstar Homes Representative

Action by PZ:  Lengthy discussion was had regarding ‘why’ this variance is needed.  
	Motion to
	recommend was made by Centanni; seconded by Hitt.

#2	ACCESSORY BUILDING			- Hugh Harris, Owner
						- 4430 Lander Rd.
						- Hugh Harris, Representative
						- Giff Dyer, Representative
Present:  Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Harris and Mr. Giff Dyer	  	

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Joint motion to approve, subject to:  1) three (3) courses of 
	brick to be installed at the foundation base; and 2) place the structure seven (7’) 
	foot from the trimmed oak tree was made by Lewis; seconded by Kline.

#3	ADDITION				- Paul Takach, Owner
						- 29250 Pike Dr.

Present:  Mr. Joe Marra and Mr. Paul Takach

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Joint motion to approve, subject to ‘infill below bay window’ was made by
		Centanni; seconded by Kline.

No:	None

#4	NEW DWELLING				- Dan & Sherri McIntyre, Owner
						- 4040 Oxford Ct.
						- Palmieri Builders
						- John Vinton, Representative
Present:  Mr. Dino Palmieri

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Scott Lewis and Jud Kline were unable to vote due to a conflict of 
interest, and therefore there was not enough members present for a quorum.  

No Action Taken.  

#5	REPORT & RECOMMENDATION (2008-5)
	AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1307.01 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES 
	OF ORANGE VILLAGE TO ADOPT THE 2008 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL 
	ELECTRICAL CODE AND REPEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES.

PZ Discussion:  Motion to recommend was made by Centanni; seconded by Hitt.

No:	None

#6	BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

·	Temple Emanu El construction is moving along ahead of schedule.  
·	Lou stopped in at The Barkley Pet Hotel to check on any unfinished items, but 
	Howard Perlmuter was not in.   Lou would have talked to Howard’s associate, 
	but Lou said the associate was too busy talking with someone else.  
·	Lou informed the members that the vacant CVS space has been sub-leased.  
	The new proprietor will be selling furniture and rugs.  

#7	ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

·	Mom’s Diner appears to be closed in the evenings.


Motion to approve the minutes of the January 15, 2008 meeting was made by Centanni; 
seconded by Lewis.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:48 pm.
