MINUTES

Mayor Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:38 pm.

Members Present:	Carmen Centanni, Jonathan Shanes, Brian Hitt, John Terlep, Jud Kline and
		Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

Members Absent:	Ed Salim

Others Present:	Stephen Byron, Law Director
		Lou Hovancsek, Building Commissioner
		Ron Kluchin, Village Architect

#1	LOT CONSOLIDATION		- Kris and Jay Capes, Owner

#2	SITE PLAN AND LANDSCAPING	- The Barkley Pet Hotel & Day Spa
					- 27349 Miles Rd.

Site Plan:

PZ Discussion:  Motion to approve revised site plan subject to:
				1.  The sidewalk to remain and to be replaced as needed
				2.  8’ fence along the rear dog run area
				3.  Chain link fence in front must be removed
was made by Shanes; seconded by Hitt.

Landscaping Plan:

Carol Palansky, Nature’s Way made a presentation of the landscape plan and the 
plantings to be used.  The eastern end of the property will be raingarden-like and include 
wild flowers around the detention basin.  All plantings will be non-toxic to animals.  
The plan will be environmentally friendly and provide for erosion control.   

PZ/ABR Discussion:  Joint motion to approve was made by Shanes; seconded by Hitt.

#3	GRADING & SITE PLAN	- Berns Custom Homes

Motion to approve was made by Shanes; seconded by Hitt.

#4 	BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

- Clark Gas Station has been notified to clean up the trash around the property and fix 
   the driveway apron and broken sidewalk.
- Lou has tried contacting Mooney’s Sunoco four (4) times.  No one has returned his calls.
- Two dwellings (East Fairview Dr. and Harvard Rd.) which had multiple housing 
  violations are currently being corrected.
- PEP Drilling Company will begin drilling a 4th oil/gas well at Beechmont Country Club.
- Some older, single women are being taken advantage of by HVAC contractors.

#5	ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

Steve Byron is preparing a new ordinance regarding PZ/ABR.  The new ordinance will have 
2 components.  One part will be about ‘joint motions’ and the other will be that the 
chairperson of PZ will also act as chairperson of the ABR committee.

On February 14, 2007 PEP Drilling Company will be going to court for a pre-trial.


Motion to approve the minutes of the January 2, 2007 meeting was made by Kline; 
seconded by Shanes.
