offers a very attractive Home Rehabilitation Program featuring low interest loans and grants. Housing Rehabilitation Loans, offered at below-market interest rates, enable eligible homeowners to make repairs and basic home improvements , including repairs to kitchens, bathrooms, porches, and roofs. Emergency Repair Loans can assist with health related water and sewer/septic problems cited by the Environmental Protective Agency (EPA) or the Cuyahoga County Department of Health and problems of an emergency nature such as furnace replacement or roof repair. Loans up to $25,000 are available and may be deferred until your home is sold, or can carry a 0%, 2% or 4% interest rate for up to 15 years, depending on income and family size. The Department of Development also administers the Free Home Weatherization Assistance Program which provides the following services at no charge to eligible homeowners:

• ˜Furnace tune-up, clean and check.
• ˜Minor repair of windows, doors and weatherstripping.
• ˜Attic and sidewall insulation.
• ˜Hot water tank insulation.
